INTERPRETATION OF RULES:

The management of the 2021 National Brahman Show reserves the right to amend, add to and interpret the following Rules and Regulations; and to arbitrarily settle and determine all questions and differences in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of, connected with or incident to the show.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. ONLY ABBA Registered Brahman cattle are eligible to compete.
  2. All animals must have Original breed association Registration papers.
  3. Original registration papers must be presented at check-in. No papers pending will be accepted on the day of Check-in.
  4. Junior entries must be solely in the name of the Junior exhibitor NO MULTIPLE OWNED ANIMALS ALLOWED.

ENTRIES:

  1. There is a $45 entry fee per head and $15 per entry for all Group Classes. All entries must be made on an Official Entry Form, which is available on the website www.nationalbrahmanshow.com Entry forms and payments should be submitted online. Cancellations and overpayments will not be refunded.
  2. Junior entries are $45.00 Showmanship is sponsored by Wedgeworth Cattle Co. All entries must be made on an Official Entry Form, which is available on the website www.nationalbrahmanshow.com. Entry forms and payments should be submitted online.  Cancellations and overpayments will not be refunded
  3. Entry Due Date – All entries must be submitted via our website before Monday, October 22, 2021.
  4. All exhibitors must send in a completed W-9 form along with a Signed Release of Liability for the entries to be accepted.
  5. The Late Entry period between FRIDAY, October 15, 2021, and October 22, 2021, is subject to space availability and will be charged double ($45.00 per head) entry fees. NO ENTRIES OR SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE MADE AFTER OCTOBER 22,2021. Late entries are not guaranteed to be stalled with exhibitor cattle due to pre-stalling.
  6. Substitutions: The 2021 National Brahman Show will not accept any substitution after (Friday) October 22, 2021, all substitutions will incur a $25.00 substitution fee per animal.
  7. The 2021 National Brahman Show reserves the right to limit entries based on stall/pen availability. Entries will be accepted in timestamp order based on when they were submitted to www.nationalbrahmanshow.com. Stall open space is not guaranteed for each entry fee paid in the show. Show management will make every effort to stall each entry. However, space availability is subject to change depending on arrival numbers.
  8. If you want your animals tied in with another ranch, be sure to send a note with your entry form. The 2021 National Brahman Show will try their best to meet your request; however, there are no guarantees.
  9. Cancellations – No refunds of fees will be given for cancellations or under any other circumstances.

STALL DISPLAY AREA

  1. Exhibitors are expected to care for, prepare animals while on the grounds of the 2021 National Brahman Show.
  2. For those exhibitors refusing to keep their stalls, pens, and/or exhibits clean and neat, the 2021 National Brahman Show reserves the right to have animals removed from grounds or have said stalls or pens properly cleaned with the cost to be charged to the exhibitor.
  3. Bedding: Livestock must be bedded on Shavings. Exhibitors are not allowed to bring in outside shavings. No straw is allowed in Barn. All bedding must be purchased at the Fairgrounds, any exhibitor that brings their own shaving will be charged $10.00 per bag that has been placed down.  The only straw that can be used is in the tie-outs area. Bedding prices are $7.69 for a (Mini Flake Shaving Bag 8 Cubic Feet) or a (40lb bag of pellets.) $8.49 this price is for pre-paid and pre-ordered. Shavings ordered after October 15, 2021, or purchased at show grounds will be $9.00 CASH OR CREDIT CARD ONLY.
  4. Tie-out spaces are available at $10.00 per animal and must be purchased at the time of entry. We do have a couple of large pens that are available, these are first come first serve basis $200.00 for the week with a $300.00 deposit, if you clean up the pens we will gladly refund the $300.00 if you don’t clean up the pens exhibitor will receive no refund on deposit.
  5. Display space will be sold to exhibitors at the time of entry (online or paper form) and will be strictly limited to what is purchased in advance. Space will not be available for purchase after entries have been submitted. Junior exhibitors (showing only in the Junior show) are not allowed to purchase additional display space.
  6. There will be a limit to the amount of display space that can be purchased based upon the number of animal entries (group classes are not included in the count). You may purchase less space at a lower level than you are eligible to purchase if you so choose. (Please see the table below for display quantities and pricing.)
  7. The maximum display space that can be purchased is 24 feet. In order to receive 24 feet, forty-one or more animal entries must be entered. Multiple entry orders cannot be combined per owner/exhibitor to gain additional display space. For example, if a ranch, exhibitor, owner, or fitter places an entry with 41 animals to purchase 24’ of display space, they or another person with animals tied to the same ranch, owner, exhibitor, or fitter cannot place entries to gain more space over and above the maximum display space allowed.
  8. Only cattle entered the show will be allowed in the Barn.
  9. Exhibitors are not allowed to have ranch-sponsored parties or outside entertainment, without the written consent from the National Brahman Show. This rule is not meant to discourage any parties we just want to make sure that we follow all our contracts and the rules of the facility.
  10. The consumption, distribution, and service of alcoholic beverages must be following the TX Alcoholic Beverage Code, which defines the lawful consumption and service of alcohol and prescribes sanctions for violations. The consumption, distribution, and service of alcoholic beverages must comply with Ft Bend County regulations and policies.
  11. NO GLASS BOTTLES OR CONTAINERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY OR STALL AREA.

HEALTH REGULATIONS

Cattle-Tx Origin Breeding Cattle:

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection current, within 30 (thirty) days.
  2. All cattle, including bulls and heifers, shall be officially identified.
  3. TX origin cattle are not required to test for tuberculosis to participate in a show, fair, or exhibition within the state.

Out-of-State Origin Cattle:

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection current, within 30 (thirty) days.
  2. Negative tuberculosis (TB) test within the past 60 (sixty) days with results noted on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Exemptions: A. Beef cattle from tuberculosis “Free” states. B. Cattle from a tuberculosis-free herd with a certificate of veterinary inspection stating the accreditation number and the herd anniversary test date. C. Suckling calves from a negative dam.
  3. All cattle, including bulls and heifers, shall be officially identified.
  4. All bulls entering for show and sale purposes, which are (12) twelve months of age and older and capable of breeding must have a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Trich test within 60 days.
  5. All bulls entering for show purposes, only, which are (12) months of age and older may enter with an entry permit in lieu of the Trich test.
  6. Bulls permitted for entry into the State of TX under the provisions of this subsection shall not be commingled with female cattle or used for breeding. Bulls that stay in the state more than sixty (60) days must be tested negative for trichomoniasis with an official Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test.

GENERAL

  1. Please Note: Cooking will be allowed in Stalling area NO OPEN FLAMES OR PROPANE BOTTLES ARE ALLOWED IN BARNS under the FIRE MARSHALL rules VIOLATORS WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY FROM THE FAIRGROUNDS (Crockpots are allowed in barns.)
  2. Feed, care, and management of animals will be the responsibility of the exhibitor. Failure to maintain animals and exhibit to acceptable standards and/or failure to cooperate with show officials may result in premium forfeiture and immediate dismissal from the National Brahman Show, Ft Bend County Fairgrounds.

3. The 2021National Brahman show will not refund any exhibitor for missed classes. Promptness to the show ring is required. In order to keep the show moving, neither classes (this includes division, breed, and overall drives) nor show order will wait on a participant to bring their animal to the ring.

  1. Animals are restricted to designated areas of the grounds and must not be taken from the designated areas. Violators are liable for any damage incurred by the owner or animals.
  2. Animals may not be stalled in horse stalls without written consent from the 2021 National Brahman Show.
  3. Any person who violates any of the general rules or special rules as posted in this Premium List will forfeit all awards and premiums won.
  4. Photographs: Exhibitors must present themselves and their animals, at the Show’s request, for official photographs. Those photographs are the property of the 2021 National Brahman Show. Exhibitors release and authorize the 2021 National Brahman Show to use without the written consent for all publications.
  5. Smoking is not permitted in the barns.
  6. NO ATV OR ELECTRIC CARTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY.

LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR THEFT

  1. The owner or custodian of the property of any kind brought to the 2021 National Brahman Show; either for exhibit or for other purposes, assumes as a condition of its admission to the grounds, all risk and/or responsibility for its loss, damage, or theft.
  2. The 2021 National Brahman Show, its officers, and employees cannot and will not accept responsibility and liability for any damage or injury resulting from theft, fire, the elements, accidents, or other conditions or causes; whether to exhibits, property of the exhibitor, vehicles on the grounds and articles left therein or any other property of any nature whatsoever.

ARRIVAL

  1. Beef animals may arrive Monday, November 2, 2021. Animals leaving from the State Fair of Louisiana will be allowed to stall in the barns in Shreveport until Monday, November 2, 2021.
  2. NO ANIMAL WILL BE ALLOWED ON FACILITY PRIOR TO MONDAY, November 2, 2021.
  3. Cattle may arrive Monday, November 2, 2021
  4. Junior exhibiting in the Junior show only may arrive Thursday, November 4, 2021, prior to 4 pm. The only exception will be Scramble heifers that exhibit in Brenham, Texas these heifers may arrive Saturday, November 6, 2021, prior to 5 pm.
  5. All animals will be issued an electronic tag that must be zip-tied to Halter prior to arrival, we are introducing an Electronic check-in system that requires the use of these tags. Please do not remove tags until Weights and Measure is completed and or after check-in if weights do not apply to your entry.
  6. All exhibitors must check-in with the National Brahman Show personnel by the time indicated on the Check-in day schedule or they will be considered as a “NO SHOW”.
  7. All trailers will be assigned a trailer parking space.
  8. All animals must have a current Health paper checked (upon arrival by Texas Animal Health Commission.)
  9. Any animals arriving late due to an emergency must call Show Management at 979-732-4175.

JUDGING

  1. Open Judging will be Females Friday, November 5, 2021, and Bulls Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 8 am.
  2. Junior Showmanship Friday, November 5, 2021, 30 minutes after the open female show.
  3. Junior Bull Show Saturday, November 6, 2021, 30 minutes after the open bull show.
  4. Junior Female show Sunday, November 7, 2021, 8 am.
  5. The decision of the judge shall be final, and no appeal will be considered except in cases of written protest (see Dispute Policy.)
  6. Any exhibitor who interferes with the judging will be promptly excluded from the competition.

GENERAL DISPUTES POLICY

  1. When a dispute occurs, an exhibitor must submit a written protest, within 24 hours after the cause of the dispute, to the 2021 National Brahman Show. The written protest must include the exact cause and description of the dispute and be accompanied by a fee of $250.00, which shall be forfeited to the Show in case the protest is not sustained.
  2. The Management of the 2021 National Brahman Show will then review all disputes and deliver complaints to ABBA for final decision.
  3. The decision of the ABBAwill is final.

RELEASE

1. Beef Cattle will be released on Saturday, November 6, 2021, starting at 2:00 p.m.  NOT ANY EARLIER.

2. TRAILERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED OUT OF THE TRAILER PARKING UNTIL DESIGNATED RELEASE TIMES.

RV PARKING:

1. RVs must have an RV SPOT permit in order to be allowed on the Fairgrounds, RV Rules and Reservation Forms are also available at our website.
